I have taken off work yesterday and today because of injuries I’ve gotten from simply sitting down.
As a Computer Science student who studied in buildings with energy drink vending machines I was given every single opportunity to sit down and stay there and close to no warnings at all about the injuries you can sustain.
Fortunately, my job provides the opportunity to put money in an HSA where I can go on a spending spree on Amazon to get supplies when these injuries affect me. I hope the same is true for other people with the same problems.
I want to exercise, I want to ride my bike more. That needs to start with getting a membership to the gym a couple blocks over. I don’t need to start at 30 or 45 minutes a day, I can do 10, then 15, 20 and onward to get back to 60 like in Aurora in those early days.
I would really like to drop all the weight. I think I’m experiencing complications of pre-diabetes for a handful of reasons and the fact that it runs very strongly through all of my family that I know of (except a sperm donor grandad). I’m pretty heavy though so I always feel I’ll never make it there, I can’t see or plan far enough into the future for that.
