Delegate Kings

Here’s a proposal: once you make some absurd factor of income like the value of the average human’s weight in gold or platinum or diamond or have some significant fraction of earth’s wealth we change the use of your tax dollars.

If you’re a mogul or just one of their children you’re assigned a delegate king. They are given a more than decent salary and provisions are kept for their family, to put their security in life somewhere near on par with those whose negative effects they combat. They cannot be fired, shunned from the billionaire’s life or kept from their accounts.

Then, all the money more or less 2700 billionaires in the US would pay under a strongly progressively taxed system is controlled by these delegate kings who in turn answer to the executive branch with regulatory control of the areas where they spend the money. They are tasked with, say, spending on teen mental health by the NIMH if they’re assigned to a Social Media CEO, or making asthma care available with the HHS for those affected by a fossil fuel magnate’s profiteering.

Or maybe, we could just take money out of politics and the government might do it’s job.
